Julie Graham – Art
Julie is an artist and a teacher who has taught fine art for the past 10 years for Conroe Independent School District. She has been the leader of the Art with Vision (AWV) program since its inception in 2009 for The Woodlands UMC, which is a program that integrates faith with creative expression. Julie has been featured in numerous art shows and her students consistently win recognition for their works. She also holds the art displays twice a year for the church, where members are able to view and enjoy original art.
Tom LaRock – Art
Tom LaRock is a professional artist and teacher who has just recently returned to The Woodlands from New York City, where he completed a three-year program of study in the classical style and academic method of the Masters of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. He has been a participant in Art With a Vision since its beginning nine years ago, and is a member of the Woodlands Art League, the International Guild of Realist Painters and The Oil Painters of America.
Cliff Rabon – Men’s Ensemble
Cliff leads worship at the 9:30 a.m. Chapel service, directs the Wesleyan Singers, directs The Woodlands Academy of Fine Arts Men’s Ensemble, and serves as Children’s Choir Coordinator. In addition to his musical responsibilities, he is in charge of technology development for the Music Ministry. He joined the Music Ministry full time after retiring from Conroe ISD in June 2014. In his 29 years as a high school choir director, his choirs achieved consistent UIL Superior Ratings and his choral ensembles won numerous festivals.
Jessica Daniel – Music Together®
Jessica is a registered Music Together® teacher. She grew up around music before studying it at TCU. After eventually earning a degree in Early Childhood Education at Texas A&M, she taught 1st grade for eight years and then K – 4th grade music. Jessica is thrilled to be a part of the Music Together family and looks forward to making special musical memories with you and your children!
Samantha Chambers – Music for Little Mozarts
Samantha holds a Bachelor of Music degree from UH with specialization in Teacher Certification — Vocal. In the six years Samantha spent teaching middle school, choirs under her direction were frequently honored with UIL sweepstakes awards, as well as superior ratings in other regional competitions.
Mark Latham – Guitar
Mark’s primary instrument is guitar, and he holds a Bachelor of Music from Sam Houston State, where he focused on jazz composition and performance. A resident of The Woodlands, he plays in the contemporary worship band at First Presbyterian of Conroe, as well as gigging around town and teaching private lessons.
Nicki Joncyk – Music Therapist
Nicki received a degree in music therapy from Sam Houston State University where she continued on to do an internship at TIRR Memorial Hermann in the medical center. Nicki has also been certified as a neurologic music therapist from the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy. Nicki has been in private practice and provided services to clients of all ages, diagnosis and abilities since 2012.
