Melinda has a B.A. in Special Education from McNeese State University in Louisiana and a M.A. in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. She has worked with children for over 20 years in school settings, agencies, and private practice. A few of her areas of skills, knowledge and competencies include: autism spectrum, neuropsychological disorders (including mild and moderate mental retardation; brain defects, and sensory integration difficulties), learning disabilities, mood disorders, adoption, trauma and parenting. She received her license for counseling in 2007. Melinda specializes in art and play therapy to help children, families, individuals, and groups.
