Bob graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University, where he was a student of B.R. Henson. He earned his Master of Music degree, with an emphasis in Conducting, from Sam Houston State University, during which he studied with Dr. Allen Hightower. Bob is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Sam Houston State University. Bob has been teaching since 1990. He is head choir director at The Woodlands High School. In Bob’s extensive choral experience, he has enjoyed several accomplishments including his McCullough Boys Choir being selected to be an Honor Group for the 1998 TMEA Convention, his York Junior High Combined Girls being selected as an Honor Choir for the 1996 TMEA Convention, his York, McCullough, and Woodlands High School choirs being awarded consistent sweepstakes trophies and named “Best in Class” at various festivals. Bob colleagues named him “Teacher of the Year” in 2000. Bob served a two-year term as the Middle School/Junior High Vice President and President of Texas Choral Directors Association and is Past President of Texas Choral Directors. Bob has served the Music and Fine Arts Ministry of The Woodlands UMC since 1997. He and his wife Connie, a Junior High Choir director in CISD, have two children, Andrea and Ben.
