Ongoing Support
Elizabeth’s Place
Supporting and Mentoring Teen Moms
In Luke 1:39–56, a young pregnant Mary visits Elizabeth. One can only imagine the acceptance, encouragement and love she received while with Elizabeth. Elizabeth’s Place provides that same support. If you have a passion for teen moms, this ministry needs volunteers who are willing to serve in large or small ways, from being a mentor to donating a picture book. Contact Sally, Barb or Vikki at 281.297.5902 or elizabethsplacemc@gmail.com for more info.
Family Promise
Ministry for the Poor and Homeless
Family Promise is a nationwide network of religious congregations that together provide shelter, meals, and support to families without homes. Through our participation, we help our guests maintain their dignity while they attempt to restore their lives and emerge from homelessness.
Society of Saint Stephen
Society of Saint Stephen is an outreach ministry to aid people during a financial crisis so that they can continue to be independent and productive people in the community. This ministry includes the Back to School Project, the blood drive, and Christmas for the Needy.
Perspectives
On The World Christian Movement
Perspectives is an in-depth, 15-week, integrative course designed to reveal God’s plan from the beginning of time to bring glory to Himself through His people. The course sheds light not only God’s eternal plan but also shows us the role that we play in it.
Third Sunday Food Drive
On the third Sunday of each month, bring a bag of groceries to church with you and leave it on the trunk of your car or on the ground behind your car. During the church service, we will collect your donations and deliver them to the local food banks.
Blood Drives
Our church sponsors six drives each year to help ensure adequate blood supplies are available to residents of the Gulf Coast Region of Texas.
Craft Circle
If you have basic skills in sewing, doll-making, floral design, quilting, painting, counted cross-stitch, needlepoint or other crafts, and would like to use your gifts to help others; you are invited to join Craft Circle.
Faith Builders
Faith Builders build appropriate housing for members of our community and congregation who live in less than desirable homes. Individual volunteers, organizations, businesses and government agencies come together to use their skills, contacts, and finances in an effort of faith.
Prison Ministry
Church volunteers work with prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families to teach and model what it means to be a Christian.
Christmas Miracles
During the holiday season, we offer our church families the opportunity to provide some Christmas presents to needy families in our area. In addition, food donations provide Christmas dinners for these families and charitable organizations.
Back to School Project
Every year our congregation helps to provide new clothing for children in the area who are in need. You can help by volunteering your time to shop, making a monetary donation, and praying for its success. For more information call Carol Winkler at 281.363.0998.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat joins with those in need to build homes so that their families can live out of poverty. Weekend building projects take these houses from start to finish.
Mission Interns
College students have the opportunity to serve in the mission field for one month to a year, working alongside full-time missionaries in another culture.
Finishers Project
Close to retirement? Want the opportunity to do more with your life? Serve in the mission field for a year or more alongside full-time missionaries using your skills and abilities.

Our Missions Ministry is not a part of the church budget; rather, it is supported through gifts from individuals who step out in faith and give, knowing that they will be sharing the love that God has already given to them.
