Event - ARTPlay for Seniors: Fall Floral Session

ARTPlay for Seniors: Fall Floral Session

Fri, Mar 1, 2019

Loft 1st-4th Grade Room (Craft Circle)

Art, they say, is the expression or application of human creativity and imagination. ARTPlay is an art class designed for Seniors in the TWMC community, who would appreciate a fun, clever, and judgement free zone to stretch their creative/artistic muscles. This will be an opportunity to have a good time with like-minded creatives. No experience is necessary - just come expecting to have a good time.

Classes are led by Abby Salazar who began her MFA at Lamar University in the late 1990s. She was the scientific illustrator for Dr. James Westgate, professor at Lamar University, author of After the Dinosaurs. A career relocation took her and family to Louisiana where she exhibited artwork in a variety of galleries, restaurants, and offices in the Baton Rouge area. She procured Artist in Residency opportunities as well as a teaching positions educating both adults and children in the fine visual arts with the Beaumont Art League, Baton Rouge Arts Council, Woodlands Art League, and Cunae International School.
