Project: Prepare and provide breakfast items that will be served to the homeless at a park in Conroe.

Compassion United is a ministry that provides outreach, relief and empowerment in the lives of the poor, homeless, addicted and outcasts in Montgomery County. Breakfast in the Park is an outreach event of Compassion United (Homeless Ministry).

Total number of volunteers needed: 20 to prepare/provide food only, and 10 to serve

DETAILS

For those providing food:

  • 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.: Drop off food under covered drive on west side of The Woodlands Campus – Loft building
  • If you live closer to Conroe, you may bring your food directly to the park to drop off at 9:00 a.m.

For those serving:

  • 9:00 a.m.: Go directly to Lewis Park
  • Address: Lewis Park – 501 Park Place, Conroe 77301
  • Please also consider signing up to bring a food item to the park

Serve Time: 9:00 am - 12:00pm

Total number of volunteers needed: 30   

**A separate email will be sent to have you sign up for specific food items to bring to this event.**

Prior to going to Angel Reach on September 28:   

  • Meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Harvest Worship Center for a Kick-off event   
  • Light continental breakfast
  • Pick up T-shirts
  • After the Kick-off, we will caravan to Lewis Park in Conroe
  • Address: 501 Park Place, Conroe, TX 77301

Family Friendly Activity

Childcare is not provided for this offsite activity.   

A fee of $10.00 per person participating in Serve It Up is requested to help cover the cost of the materials for projects.
