Child-Parent Relationship (CPR) Training

When children have problems, they may not have the words to express them. Play gives children a way to communicate feelings they don’t understand or are unable to express. With 20 hours of Child-Parent Relationship Training, motivated parents can learn to be as effective as play therapists with their own children. Research has shown that CPR Training can reduce or eliminate behavior problems; enhance the parent-child relationship; develop responsibility and self-control in children and increase children’s self-esteem and self-confidence. CPR Training is conducted in 10 weekly two-hour sessions. The atmosphere is accepting and the training interactive, making it enjoyable for one both parents. Parents of children 2½ to 10 years of age are welcome to attend. Dr. Mary Causey will facilitate the group sessions.

Childcare is available for a fee and must be reserved in advance.
